Quality or Compromise? The Choice is yours.
After so many years in the market of glass industry, about 25, I realized that often a product is considered quality by comparing it with some factors.
In the case of polishing grindstones, for example, the polishing wheels are considered of quality when they polish more or less well, they have a sufficient lifetime and they are cheap.
Quality, in this case, is a compromise.
A compromise between a level of polishing overall acceptable, a fairly discreet polishing wheels lifetime and a proper price to the polishing obtained.
As i said, it’s a compromise, in some ways a good compromise.
The problem with compromises is that you get used to, if for many years i used a certain type of product because i didn’t have many other alternatives, in one way or another i get used to work with tools i have and i go on like this, making of that compromise the normality.
In reality, compromise is a middle way, it’s something that I do well because at that time I haven’t other possible alternatives, it is a compromise, but it should be a temporary situation.

Sometimes the glassware accept the compromise of a polishing wheel that, compared to the Chinese, removes more lines, accept the compromise of a polishing wheel that creates a more or less good polish, all in all discrete, accept the compromise of a polishing wheel that has to do to polish the glass more steps, accept the compromise of a wheel that they know.
